Steve is ‘One half’ of “Symphonic Ibiza” (Orchestra) with DJ Andy Joyce.

Steve left the Rubettes on Feb 15, 2019, with Alan Williams and formed a new band The Rubettes with Original band members John Richardson and Mick Clarke.

The new Rubettes featuring founding members John Richardson, Mick Clarke, and Steve Etherington (Producer/Arranger since 1995) started on 15 February 2019. The band will be performing live and recording new original music, on Sobel Nation Records.

The Official Rubettes with John, Mick, and Steve will be performing as a ‘Powerhouse Trio’ or with members of Steve Etherington’s Symphonic Ibiza.

The band’s live sound will keep the flavor and sounds of the songs everybody knows and loves. Original Music will keep the Rubettes feel with an updated twist.

Between 1974 and 1979 The Rubettes enjoyed chart success including their number one signature song “Sugar Baby Love” which sold worldwide over 30 million records.

John Richardson is one of the founding members of The Rubettes, best known for his vocals and drum work.

In 1979, he left the band to explore his spirituality, releasing music under his Hare Krishna name Jayadev.

In 2019 he released his first Dance Music Single with Jayadev's Mantra Crew entitled "Ganesh" On Sobel Nation Records. The song hit #1 on the Dance Charts.

The album, KC & THE SUNSHINE BAND, was released in 1975, went triple platinum and contained the #1 hits GET DOWN TONIGHT, THAT’S THE WAY (I LIKE IT), BOOGIE SHOES and ROCK YOUR BABY. Also in 1975 he won the American Music Award for Best R&B Artist.

KC’s album, PART 3, released in 1976, also went triple platinum and contained the #1 singles I’M YOUR BOOGIE MAN, SHAKE YOUR BOOTY and KEEP IT COMIN’ LOVE.

The band’s string of hit singles continued with BOOGIE SHOES, which was included on the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER soundtrack, PLEASE DON’T GO.

He also received Grammy Awards for Album of the Year, as well as Producer of the Year in 1978 for his work on the SATURDAY NIGHT FEVER soundtrack.

Steve Grant returned to his roots in musical theatre, appearing in a number of musicals (such as Miss Saigon in the West End), before losing most of his sight which led to a focus on recording studio work instead.

Denise Waterman (nee Gyngell), who became a mum of two during her marriage to Pete Waterman, had a band with her two brothers following Tight Fit. She has worked as a TV presenter and professional entertainer, as well as founding her own theatre-camp school based in Wimbledon.

Modern Romance was formed by David Jaymes formed in 1981.

After two flop singles, Andy Kyriacou joined the band. He joined 8 weeks before the band charted with their first hit record, "Everybody Salsa". This was followed up with "Ay Ay Ay Ay Moosey" which made the top ten singles chart in the UK, followed by "Nothing Ever Goes The Way You Plan". The second part of this song was remixed, renamed, and released as a single, reaching No.2 on the U.S. Billboard dance charts as "Can You Move".

After another hit with "Cherry Pink and Apple Blossom White" the band saw their highest UK chart position, with "Best Years Of Our Lives." Three more hits followed, in 1983. "High Life" followed by "Don't Stop That Crazy Rhythm" and their last chart hit, "Walking In The Rain".

Andy Kyriacou continued with the band, as the only original member, and put together a new line-up, including Steve Etherington, and are ready to make hits again.

Marcella Detroit, aka Marcy Levy, born and bred in Detroit, Michigan, has been involved in music her entire life.
One of her earliest gigs found her opening for David Bowie! A few years later she was touring and recording with Eric Clapton, cowriting one of his biggest hits, "Lay Down Sally" and several of his most popular album tracks including "The Core", "Promises" and "Tangled in Love". She appeared live with him for "Live Aid" in Philadelphia in 1985.
Marcella is known for her touring and session work for some of the best artists of all time including Elton John, Aretha Franklin, George Benson, Stanley Clarke, George Duke, Belinda Carlisle, Bette Midler, Bob Seger and Leon Russell. She was also a member of the ground breaking award winning band "Shakespear's Sister". Their song "Stay" is the longest running "Number One" hit for a female band in UK history remaining at number ONE for 8 weeks.

Symphonic Ibiza fuses a thrilling live orchestra with high tempo beats from renowned club DJ Andy Joyce, whose credentials include residencies at Ibiza super-clubs Pacha, Amnesia, Eden and Café Mambo, directed by musical genius Steve Etherington.

Following its launch at the famous Ibiza club ‘Eden' in 2018, Symphonic Ibiza made it's UK debut at Edinburgh’s Hogmanay and gained five-star reviews and winner of the Theatre Weekly “Best Event" at the Edinburgh Festival and has been resident at Savannah on Ibiza's sunset strip.

Amuka is the stage name used by singer/songwriter Sheila Brody Kelly. Originally from Detroit, she was discovered by The Godfather of Funk, George Clinton.

With the success of this track Angie was able to launch her professional career. She still performs live, and releases new dance songs every few months.

Angie has appeared as a TV personality on many numerous prime time TV shows including ‘Good Morning’, ‘GMTV’, ‘The Lottery’, ‘Top of the Pops’, ‘Never Mind The Buzzcocks’.

Rozalla’s career took off when the dance anthem Everybody’s Free (To Feel Good), reached number 6 in the UK Singles Chart in 1991.

The single became a Top 10 hit in many European countries soon afterward and reached the Billboard Top 40 the following year. It was later included on her dance-heavy debut album Everybody’s Free, which peaked at number 20 in the UK Albums Chart and went silver.

The album spawned two more sizeable hits in Faith (In The Power Of Love) and Are You Ready To Fly, reaching number 11 and 14 respectively in the UK Singles Chart.

In 2000, Dwayne met songwriter Gavin Bradley and they formed the production duo Righteous, a teaming that would lead to a string of club hits. “Stay Together” was an early success and as a nod to Dwayne’s roots, they sampled some Rick Astley vocals in “The DJ Plays.” In 2005, Righteous were signed to UK label Refunkt with the disco anthem “Soul Clappin’” their first single and “Love is Love” (featuring MJ White) its massive follow-up. The song was later featured on “Disco Heaven 2006,” a compilation from the influential UK dance label Hed Kandi, while the Righteous remix of Nelly Furtado’s “Try” became a mainstream radio hit on Chum FM in Toronto.

American soul singer-songwriter Christopher Peyton got his musical start singing at his father’s church in Virginia. As an artist, Peyton adopted his surname as his stage name.

Peyton is a singer with a message. Called by a higher power to inspire others, he channels his message through his soul-stirring vocal gift, weaving elements of gospel and soul with a current sound to uplift people and by supporting causes he believes in.

From Ministry of Sound and Hed Kandi, to Universal and Vendetta, Soraya has appeared on a catalog of renowned labels.

Soraya’s hit ‘When You’re Gone’ was introduced to the world in 2003 by AATW who masterminded some of the most prevalent vocal dance hits ever recorded.

Lifted House approached Soraya with an invitation to write and record with them, with the end product being released by Warner Music.

When Lightyear (Scott Finnell) was 16 years old, he began to write his own songs.

I dropped out of music and got a real job. However, the music never left me and I am back.

I released my first single "Stand Up," an LGBT Anthem with Sobel Nation Records and am working on my follow up.

London/Kent based, Amrick Channa, is a Vocalist in the Soulful/Funky House music field.

He has performed live for brands and venues such as Hed Kandi, Stereo Sushi, Ministry of Sound, Pacha London as well as countries such as Dubai, Switzerland, Slovenia, Italy, and Russia! He has hosted parties & been interviewed for Miami Fashion Week TV as well as Russian MTV!

Amrick has records signed for release on labels in the USA, UK & Europe. His track with the Cookie Monsterz, which is featured on the Ministry of Sound/Hed Kandi compilation CD.

Amrick's collaboration with Italy's Black Legend/Jackie Reverse on the track "In The Heat Of The Night" made it onto Pete Tong's Essential Selection on BBC Radio One. That track along with Hindu Summer was broadcast on Kiss FM amongst others and were hits all across Europe!

San Pedro is the brainchild of Rikki Turner, ex lead singer of seminal Mancunian Electro/Indie band Paris Angels and more recently The New Southern Elektrik and The Hurt.

The name 'San Pedro' comes from Rikki's love of Charles Bukowski, it's where the late, great poet and writer passed away back in 1994, the project is a collaboration of creatives, musicians, poets, and artists.

The story so far has included vocalists Sarah Bouchier Millie Macbean, Suddi Raval ( Together - Hardcore Uproar), Simon Wolstencroft (The Fall, The Stone Roses), Keith Higgins, Justin Leonard, Martin McClaren, poet Karl Hildebrandt and Antnee Egerton (The Winachi Tribe).

Nature of Wires was formed in 1986 in Herefordshire, England. The original line-up was Gary Watts (synths & programming) and Andrew Stirling-Brown (vocals) and the dark electronic duo toured the United Kingdom, captivating fans with their melodic but muscular synthpop sound. In 1993 vocalist Sarah Bouchier, aka Lady B, joined Nature of Wires, but the following year the band decided to take a "six-month" break, which would last more than 20 years!

In 2015 Nature of Wires reformed and joined forces with Californian vocalist CountessM.

Big Mama Capretta, also known as Father Anthony Capretta came out of the closet in 2009 as a drag queen Big Mama Capretta revealing the truth about her identity hitting the Billboard dance charts on Carrillo Records with his charting top 20 dance floor anthem ‘Big Mama’s House’.
