Named “The (Drag) Queen of All Media” by The Huffington Post, Pollo Del Mar is a Bay Area celebutante, emcee, GLOSS Magazine celebrity journalist, activist, and recording artist. For two years, her column “The Glamazon Diaries” was a staple in the San Francisco Bay Times newspaper. More recently, her “Name-Dropping with Pollo!” video-blog has been a popular feature in The Huffington Post. A tireless fundraiser for San Francisco’s LGBT community, Pollo keeps her finger on the pulse of pop culture but never loses track of her White Trash roots!
Pollo released her debut single “How Embarrassing” — a comedic track set to blazing house music beats — in Spring 2012. “Made U Look,” a duet with multiple-time Billboard Dance Charting artist, Kwanza Jones, followed. “#WhiteLadyProblems” with Matt Consola, DJ James Torres & LFB was released in Dec. 2013.
A staple in the Bay Area LGBT and drag scene, Pollo Del Mar has been wreaking havoc since 2006. She made San Francisco drag history a year later, becoming the only performer to ever win the Trannyshack Star Search competition and Miss Trannyshack Pageant back-to-back.
An accomplished talent with national appeal, Pollo has shared the stage with Katy Perry, Iggy Azalea, Lady Gaga, Cyndi Lauper, Jessica Alba, Wendy Wiliams, Robyn, Ross Mathews and more — and once opened for Britney Spears on ‘Good Morning America.’ She has performed throughout California, Colorado, Nevada, Hawaii, Arizona, Florida, Arkansas, and the Big Apple. As an emcee, Pollo has headlined Pride events across Northern California and twice produced Pride Night at California’s Great America.
