Leo Frappier and Scott Brannon have reunited as the musical group Outer Sunset to produce a follow-up to their song “Feel My Magic” on Paul Oakenfold’s Perfecto Records in 2011. With a genuine love of all the songs, the voice, and the incredible musicianship of Christine McVie, they put together a revisioned private remix of their favorite Christine McVie song “Got a Hold On Me” (originally released in 1984 with her as a solo artist.) We all know by now that Christine left us this year in late November after a short illness. She was 79.

Christine leaves behind a rich legacy as a singer/songwriter and keyboardist having respectable solo fame. Plus, most notably as singer/writer and keyboardist for 70’s supergroup Fleetwood Mac, having penned many songs, plus hits such as “Say You Love Me,” Over My Head,” “You Make Loving Fun,” and “Hold Me.”

“Got a Hold On Me” is originally a very poppy light song, which Scott and Leo reimagined into a techy and trancey dance floor epic, with more haunting verses and dark grooves opening to big vocal Choruses for all to sing and dance to. This song production is an homage to Christine, is not for commercial release, and is exclusive to Sobel Promotions.

Outer Sunset will bring forth some exciting new material in 2023; We urgently want to get their Private White Label remix out for the VIP DJs for their New Year’s Eve gigs and parties. A time when dance floor goers are pining to hear new material to ring in the New Year. From Leo and Scott and all of us at Sobel Promotions, we wish you a Very Happy, Prosperous, and Successful New Year in 2023.
