LOUISE ROBEY

Louise Robey was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She is a singer with a 5-octave vocal range, an actress and model educated throughout Europe, including several years at a boarding school in St.Andrew’s, Scotland.
Louise Robey began modeling after being discovered by legendary French photographer Jacques Henri Lartigue while sunbathing on the French Riviera. She first appeared in the magazines Paris Match and French Vogue. Shortly after seeing her in the Vogue spread, Louise Robey worked with famed photographer Stan Shaffer for major American clients such as the New York Times and Cosmopolitan magazine.
In the late 1970's CBS Records France signed Louise to form and front the early ska-punk band Louise and the Creeps. The group moved from London to New York in 1980, quickly being noticed by such icons as Jerry Wexler, Andy Warhol, EMI, PolyGram, Pete Townsend of "The Who", Jimmy Pullis of Trax, Howard Stein of the club Xenon and Chris Blackwell of Island Records as well as John Belushi and Dan Ackroyd, with whom they often performed after hours at The Blues Bar NY.
In 1984, Robey landed a record deal with CBS Sony USA as a solo artist and recorded the international breakout hit "One Night in Bangkok" written by former ABBA members Bjorn Ulvaeus and Benny Andersson. The track reached #5 on the US Billboard Dance Charts and #77 on the Billboard Hot 100. Her second single "Killer Instinct," which she co-wrote with Ed Walshcharted, also hit the Billboard charts. She later signed with Chrysalis.
As an actress, Robey appeared in the 1985 film The Money Pit , then moved to Los Angeles, signed with I.C.M. and studied improvisational comedy with The Groundlings, soon performing professionally with the famous improv troupe M.I.C.E. She appeared in many television pilots. before landing the role of Michelle "Micki" Foster on the 1987-1991 internationally syndicated Emmy Award winning sci-fi show Friday the 13th: The Series. The program, for which Robey was nominated for best actress, ran for three seasons.
She auditioned for and was accepted to Oxford University's "Midsummer In Oxford in 1994" sponsored by The British American Drama Academy in association with The Juilliard School and The University of California to study Shakespearian Theatre under the tutelage of Sir Derek Jacobi, Patrick Stewart, Jeremy Irons, Alan Rickman and others.
Robey is now working on her CD Box Set: Louise Robey - Anthology (1979-2010) The Essential Collector’s Edition. The anthology will feature over 50 songs spanning from her work with Louise and the Creeps through her newest music. The Executive Producer is Phil Harding (PWL “The Hit Factory”). Remixes of Robey’s new Single "A Woman Scorned" by The Sharp Boys in the UK and Julian Marsh in the USA have become instant club smashes.
Louise Robey married Charles Beauclerk, Earl of Burford, on December 29, 1994. They divorced in 2001 and share custody of their son James, the future Duke of St. Albans.. She married renowned photographer Stan Shaffer in 2008 and collaborated with him on his posthumously-released 2010 book: You Should Have Been With Me.
