JOEL DICKINSON

Joel Dickinson is a remixer, electronic music producer and recording
engineer based in Minneapolis, MN. From Inaya Day to Green Day,
Natalie Merchant to Lady Gaga, the Steve Miller Band to Kevin Aviance
- Joel restyles every song (new and old) with his special twist of
catchy riffs and synthetic wizardry.
In a career nearly a decade long, he has been a programmer and
engineer for Junior Vasquez; including work on mixes for Cyndi Lauper,
Cher and Whitney Houston. He is a co-member of the remix team Audio
Assembly who have produced for artists such as Karen Young, Taylor
Dayne, Kimberly Davis and Kelly Clarkson. He is also a co-producer of
the Hell & Keller remix project, who have produced for Raquela, Willow
Smith, The Human League and others. Until 2010, Joel was producing
solo projects under the moniker of "Thee Werq'n B!tches." His remix
and subsequent video for Thee Werq'n B!tches ft. Faye Dunaway - "No
Wire Hangers!" was given the title of "Gayest Thing on the Internet"
by VH1's Best Week Ever in 2008. Many of his remixes and productions
have attained Billboard Club Top Ten charting status, including Eddie
X ft. Niki Harris - "This Time Baby" (#5) and C+C Music Factory ft.
Scarlett Santana - Rain (#8). His remixes of Dolly Parton's "9 to 5"
and Bette Davis' "I've Written a Letter to Daddy" (from "What Ever
Happened to Baby Jane?") are regarded as camp club classics and are
played somewhere in the world nearly every night to a rapturous
response. A number of his productions have also attained more
widespread cult status, including the Minneapolis house classic,
"Phreakshow," and his club remix of Liza Minnelli's "Cabaret,"
endorsed by the original New York broad herself.
