Chris Bemand (Born in Hereford, England) is a UK based music producer and composer.
Former angelic choirboy turned electronic beats maestro. Chris has released many innovative electronic albums since his early work with pioneering acid jazzsters Marden Hill (Mo Wax Records first signing and the band about whom the term ‘Trip Hop’ was first coined) and filmic Chill Out group 45 Dip (Hed Kandi Records). He has also collaborated with Ashley Beedle ( Ballistic Brothers/Xpress 2) Rob Dougan,(Clubbed to Death) and Mark Doyle (Hed Kandi) . As well as a large discography, Chris has written and produced countless scores for all kinds of TV shows including mainstream cartoon series, Bafta nominated Skunk Fu! and King Arthur's Disasters. He’s also known for writing epic choral stings for top shows including the X-Factor and Top Gear.
Chris's latest project The Beijing Gang was recorded in Beijing with a handful of virtuoso musicians from Peking Opera and the resulting blend is original and unique. Eastern classical beauty meets Western funky beats .
He is founder and owner of UK independent label Squirky Music which releases "groovy and filmic " music.
